FAQs about game submission

Will I still own my game?

Of course you will. We are just providing a platform for you to make your game available to others.

Can I submit my game to other sites?

Yes, certainly. You retain all rights to the game and its distribution.

Will you put your adverts into my game?

No. We will not ask to put any of our own adverts into your game, and we will not ask you to distribute your game with our adverts in it. The only exception to this is if you ask us to help with making your game (see the question below about unfinished games)

What platforms of games will you accept?

Flash, Java and Shockwave.
But if you have a game in a different format that can be embedded into a webpage, then email us and we will see what we can do.

What types of games will you accept?

We are looking for all different types of online game. Have a check through our categories for inspiration, but if you have something that doesn’t seem to fit then submit it anyway. We can always create a category just for you.

Will you accept my game?

Nearly always, yes. When we accept your game we will send you a link to it's page on our website. If for some reason the game is not acceptable then we will let you know why, so that you may alter it if you wish to submit again.

Why might my game be unacceptable?

If it contains any of the following:

• Adult content, e.g. excessive graphic violence or pornographic images
• Glaring bugs
• Offensive material

Or if it is incompatible with any major Internet browser.

What if I want to remove my game?

Just let us know and we will take it off the site. You may be required to prove ownership of the game: we don’t want anyone other than yourself to have your game removed without your approval.

I have an unfinished game, can I submit that?

I can't finish my game - will you help me complete it?

If you would like Cygnet Games to complete the game for you then yes, you can submit the game. This would mean that Cygnet Games owns the parts of the game that we contributed, and would mean that the Cygnet Games logo would be added to the game along with your own.

We will not put unfinished games on the website before they are complete.

Why should I submit my game?

Some reasons could be:

• You want more people to have access to your game.
• To get back-links for your website (we will give you an SEO-friendly link).
• Because you want to see it on Cygnet Games.
